Microsoft lands latest blow in the new battle for supremacy. Amazon A9 is ringside judge.
This is starting to look very interesting. The battle royale for supremacy on ALL technology fronts that these 2 monoliths are involved in, is getting hot and may end up getting dirty.
Brace yourselves and gather together a ringside seat as we prepare for the dying seconds of round 1.
Amazon have dropped Google as it's search technology provider for it's A9 search unit.
Reuters reports on Microsoft winning out on Google for the Amazon trophy.
Winning the first round of this incredible battle to see who reigns supreme in everything in the World [it would seem].
This is a hurtful body blow for Google, Microsoft have always been seen to be 3rd substitute behind Google and Yahoo. So losing such a tasty contract can perhaps be interpreted as not only a comment on the technology, but on Google, too.
Financially, I'm certain Google will learn to live without Amazon's spondoolicks....but losing too many highbrow clients like this, will all add up, one day...or is that the Microsoft plan?
On the same note, no doubt feeling worried about Microsoft getting their house in order search-wise [and IE7 wise, it would seem] Google has complained informally to competition authorities in Europe and the US.
Blimey. It's going to go on and on, and before long somebody is going to have their eye out.
